Man Enters Kuang Home Allegedly to Kidnap a Child, Fails After Neighbours Chase Him Down & Tie Him Up

A post shared by @update11111 shows a foreign man with his hands bound after a group of Kuang residents caught him allegedly attempting to abduct a child from one of the homes.

New Straits Times reported that Sungai Buloh police chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said the incident allegedly occurred around 12:40pm yesterday at Kampung Bunga Raya, Kuang.

A neighbour heard someone screaming for help

The police got a report from a 47-year-old man who said he heard one of his neighbours screaming for help because a man was trying to abduct her child.

Mohd Hafiz said the complainant rushed over to his neighbour’s house and saw an unknown man running away.

He added that the complainant and some other residents chased after the guy and caught up with him near a rubbish disposal site, leading to a scuffle.

Residents managed to detain the suspect

Mohd Hafiz also revealed that the residents managed to detain the man and handed him over to the police for further action when they arrived at the scene moments later.

Videos of the incident have been circulating online, showing the suspect being questioned by members of the public after he was caught, while another video shows the same suspect lying on the ground with his hands tied.

Mohd Hafiz said pictures had also been posted on social media with a caption that reads,

“He tried to abduct someone’s child in Kuang but got caught by the crowd.”

The police have opened an investigation under Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping and advised the public to always abide by the law.
