PENAMPANG: A 34-year-old local fell to his death from the 26th floor of a condominium here on Thursday.
Penampang District Police Chief Supt Sammy Newton said police received a report and the victim was found dead near the lobby.
“No criminal elements were detected that could be linked to the incident,” he said in a statement.
The body was sent to the Forensic Department of Queen Elizabeth Hospital I for a post-mortem.
The case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR) pending the post-mortem results and further investigations.
Police advised the public not to speculate or circulate images or videos of the incident out of respect for the victim’s family.
