A 39-year-old technician was found dead in his car at a Bukit Beruang apartment, with a post-mortem confirming death by heart blockage.

MELAKA: A man was found dead inside a car at an apartment parking lot on Jalan Bukit Beruang.

Melaka Tengah police chief ACP Christopher Patit said police received an emergency call at 7.05 pm yesterday.

A team of officers and forensic personnel were dispatched to the scene immediately.

“The body of a 39-year-old man was discovered in the driver’s seat,” he said in a statement today.

An external examination revealed no signs of any suspicious injuries on the body.

There was also no damage to the vehicle at the scene.

“Preliminary findings at the scene indicate no criminal elements were involved,” Christopher added.

He explained the deceased was identified as a technician from a utility company.

The man was at the location to perform routine maintenance checks, a site he visited regularly.

The body was transferred to the Forensic Department of Melaka Hospital for a post-mortem.

The examination was carried out this morning to determine the cause of death.

“The post-mortem has determined the cause of death to be coronary atherosclerosis, or a heart blockage,” Christopher stated.

He concluded that the case has been classified as No Further Action.
