
A MAN living alone in Kota Damansara was discovered dead in his home after relatives and acquaintances reportedly failed to reach him for two weeks, authorities confirmed today.
District Police Chief of Petaling Jaya, Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat, said the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters Operations Room received the first report at 11.27pm yesterday regarding an unconscious man found inside the residence.
He said: “Acting on the information, a team of officers from the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters was dispatched to the location, and the victim was confirmed deceased by medical personnel from Sungai Buloh Hospital.
“The victim was said to have been living alone in the house and had been uncontactable for the past two weeks. The victim had also previously undergone surgery to the head several years ago.
“Police investigations at the scene found no elements of foul play.”
Shamsudin added that the body had been taken to the Forensic Unit of Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
“Further investigations will be conducted upon receiving the post-mortem report,” he said.
He also urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward to the nearest police station or contact the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters Operations Room at 03-79662222, or the investigating officer, Assistant Superintendent Mohd Yunus Abdul Samad, at 019-7305604, to assist the inquiry. - December 11, 2025
