GEORGE TOWN, May 29 — A 37-year-old local man was found dead inside a car parked in front of an ice cream shop along Jalan Sungai Dua here this morning.

Timur Laut District Deputy Police Chief Supt Lim Swee Sake said police received information on the incident from members of the public at 11.47am.

He said the victim, who was from Ayer Itam, was found neatly dressed and lying in the driver’s seat of his wife’s car, which was locked from the inside.

“Investigations on the victim’s body and the surrounding area found no elements of foul play,” he said in a statement today.

Lim said police estimated that the victim had died about five days before he was discovered.

He said the body was sent to the Penang Hospital Forensic Department for a post-mortem examination, and the case has been classified as a sudden death. — Bernama
