
KOTA BELUD: A 24-year-old Filipino was found dead, hanging from a building’s stairway in Pekan Kota Belud, here, Tuesday.
Kota Belud District Police Chief Supt Shahrudin Mat Husain said the discovery was made by members of the public who alerted the police at 5.58am.
“Initial investigations found the man unconscious, suspended by a noose around his neck,” he said.
“Medical personnel from the Kota Belud Hospital confirmed the man’s death at the scene,” he said.

“Those with information about the man or his next-of-kin are urged to assist in investigations,” he said.
“As of now, the case is classified as sudden death,” he said.
