Taking to TikTok, this netizen recently shared his experience of being chased away by a homeless person after offering her food.
He shared, “I wanted to do some good today, but I was chased away.”
“I wanted to give her some Nasi Arab, but the homeless person screamed so loud, that a Chinese person behind me ran off.”
“I think she only wants money,” he added.
“The Nasi Arab costs more than what I can give her.”
Netizens commenting on the video had this to say.
“I am not shocked if after this he no longer cares for those who are homeless.”
“Once an old, homeless person wanted food while I was having McD. I gave him fries but he refused,” shared a user.
Another commented, “Once I gave food to a homeless person and he simply threw it away afterwards.”
Let’s hope that this will not deter others from giving out much-needed help to those who will appreciate it.
