Kota Kinabalu: Police arrested a 45-year-old man in Papar on Tuesday for allegedly posting a TikTok video inciting the public to storm government offices.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said the suspect was detained at 2.45pm and has been remanded until Sept 11.
“The video urged people to gather and storm the Chief Minister’s Department and other premises. We take this very seriously,” he said.
He said the man, who is employed, will be further questioned to determine his motive.
Jauteh reminded that police will not tolerate any form of provocation or misuse of social media to disrupt public order.
