The police in Bhattu Kalan town of Fatehabad district have arrested a man on Thursday from Rajasthan for allegedly cheating people by selling toys on Instagram. The accused has been identified as Manish, alias Monu, a resident of Lalera Patta Mahajan village in Bikaner district.

According to the police, the accused was using social media platforms to commit fraud. Sunil, a resident of Banmandori village, had filed a complaint stating that he came across an Instagram account with around 1.87 lakh followers. The account displayed attractive toy models of tractors.

Interested in buying one, Sunil contacted the WhatsApp number provided by the seller. The accused demanded Rs 1,000 for the toy.
