
KENINGAU: Police arrested a 22-year-old local for disguising as a policeman, here, on Sunday.
Keningau District Deputy Police Chief DSP Nor Rafidah Kassim said the man was picked up by a team from the Keningau Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division (BSPT) during an operation to weed out thugs.
He said the suspect was wearing a green military vest with the word “police” written on it.
“When asked to show his police identity and identification card, the suspect failed to do so and was taken to the police station for further investigation,” he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 170 of the Penal Code for impersonating a public servant.
