
PENAMPANG: A 39-year-old man was arrested at an apartment in Jalan Bundusan, last Friday, on suspicion of trafficking 155gm of Ecstasy and 10 Erimin 5 pills.
Penampang Police Chief, Supt Sammy Newton, said the drugs in the 11pm raid amounted to RM3,700.
“The suspect also tested positive for methamphetamine and amphethamine.
“The case is investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 liable to no less than 15 strokes of the cane, life imprisonment or death.

The suspect is currently being held on remand and the police warned the public not to get involved with drugs.
“Instead, continue to be police eyes and ears to combat drug abuse,” he said.
