PENAMPANG: A 46-year-old man was arrested and about 300 litres of subsidised diesel seized in an early morning Op Tiris raid.
Penampang police chief Supt Sammy Newton said the suspect was caught after intelligence-led surveillance at a petrol station, allegedly using a modified one-tonne lorry to illegally collect fuel.
Total seizures, including the vehicle and other items, were estimated at RM68,645.
“We will continue to intensify enforcement operations to curb the misappropriation of controlled goods,” he said.
The case is being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961 and handed to Sabah KPDN.
