Man jailed for two years over theft of Beyoncé’s unreleased music

  • An Atlanta man, Kelvin Evans, has pleaded guilty to an auto break-in that resulted in the theft of unreleased music belonging to Beyoncé.
  • Evans, 41, admitted guilt in Fulton County Superior Court to charges of entering an automobile and criminal trespass, receiving a two-year prison sentence.
  • The incident occurred last July when Evans broke into a parked Jeep Wagoneer rented by Beyoncé's choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer, Diandre Blue, just two days before her Cowboy Carter tour launched in Atlanta.
  • Police confirmed that the stolen items included hard drives containing unreleased music, footage plans, and concert set lists, which were described as highly sensitive.
  • Despite surveillance cameras capturing the break-in and leading to Evans' arrest in August, the crucial hard drives and other stolen property have not been recovered.
