  • Lee Milne has been jailed for eight years for culpable homicide after his wife, Kimberly Bruce, took her own life following an 18-month campaign of abuse.
  • Ms Bruce, 28, died on 27 July 2023, with police saying that Milne's "shocking" behaviour left her "terrified" in the hours before her death.
  • Milne was found guilty of numerous domestic abuse offences against Ms Bruce, including physical and verbal abuse, coercive control, and financial manipulation, between January 2022 and July 2023.
  • The conviction, which includes a three-year extended sentence, is believed to be the first of its kind in Scotland for causing death through domestic abuse.
