KINABATANGAN: A 62-year-old man was killed in an accident involving two vehicles at Kampung Segaliud on Thursday, while two other men were safe.

The deceased, identified as Jumali Buhari, was driving a Perodua Kancil. The other men aged 24 and 19 were in a Toyota Hilux.

The Fire and Rescue Department received a call via the MERS999 line at 3:48 PM and deployed seven members from the Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) to the location, about 42km away.

Additionally, five members from BBP Beluran were dispatched to the scene after attending to a machine fire at the Segamaha Paris 2 Factory, Jalan Kinabatangan-Lahad Datu.
