SANDAKAN: A 30-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after Mitsubishi Lancer skidded off the road at around Taman Indah Jaya, early morning Saturday.

Sandakan Fire and Rescue Department Station Chief, PKPgB Severinus Sainkui, said they rushed to the scene upon receiving a distress call through MERS999 at 4.25am.

“The accident involved a Mitsubishi Lancer which was skidded off the road before landing in a nearby ditch.

“We extracted the victim which was pinned on his driver’s seat using designated tool,” he said Saturday.

Read more The victim, identified as Mohammad Ikhlas Rosmi, was pronounced dead by medical team who arrived at the scene.

The victim’s body was later handed over to police for further action.
