  • Enzo Conticello, 29, has been sentenced to two years and three months in prison for stealing a handbag containing a Faberge egg and watch set valued at £2.2 million.
  • The theft occurred on 7 November 2024, when Conticello took the handbag from Rosie Dawson in the smoking area of the Dog and Duck pub in Soho.
  • The stolen £1,600 Givenchy bag also contained a £1,500 Apple laptop, AirPods, bank cards, and other personal items.
  • Conticello, who pleaded guilty to theft and fraud, told Southwark Crown Court he was after "easy money" to buy drugs and handed the bag over for this purpose.
  • The Faberge egg and watch, belonging to Ms Dawson's employers at the Craft Irish Whiskey Company, have not been recovered, though insurers paid out £106,700 for the loss.
