A Malaysian man who used to work in Taiping Prison in Perak shared some snippets of the stories he heard from one of the inmates, who was put there for raping her three daughters.
In a viral X post by @ciksepul, the man said that throughout his employment there, he had seen a lot of people “checking in at the prison” for various crimes – rape cases, murder, you name it.
However, the confession that he heard from an inmate who sexually abused his three daughters will perhaps stick in his mind forever. When asked why the inmate did that, he was brutally honest about his intention.
“Before anyone tastes them, I have to try them first, Sir,” the inmate told him.
@ciksepul himself was shocked and baffled by the response but did not deny that people like the inmate exist. He also revealed that Taiping Prison holds a lot of sexual offenders.
6 meals a day, but…
In his tweet, the man also shared that prison inmates in Malaysia allegedly get to eat 6 times a day. If you’re thinking the inmate gets fancy food for free, you’re wrong.
“Their meals are not seasoned, and their beverages have no sugar. This explains why they have to work hard in prison to earn some money where they can buy soy sauce and sugar. Their meals a day cost RM35.40.”
According to Sections 375 and 376 of the Penal Code, a person who is charged for raping can be sentenced to up to 30 years of prison, including caning.
