A drunken man shot his ex-wife's new husband’s private parts until they were badly damaged out of pure jealousy. According to the Daily Star newspaper, a man allegedly shot his ex-wife's new husband's genitals because he was jealous of their marriage.
After getting too drunk with his girlfriend, the Thai man Bunteurm Oonkaew, 37, was charged with assaulting the victim.
It is believed that he went to his ex-wife's house in Chumphon, Southern Thailand, opened the door, and pointed a gun at 40-year-old Somchai Sakoolchai, the new husband of his ex-wife.
The suspect fired a shot at the victim's thigh. His ex-wife, Ubonrat, 35, called the police and then the man was arrested. Unfortunately, the genitalia may no longer function due to this incident.
When questioned, Bunteurm who was laughing claimed that the gun had misfired. However, he was remanded for attempted murder.
“I had just returned from work and was drinking with my girlfriend in my room when I got up and took out a gun I had kept in the closet. I stopped to talk to my ex-wife because I was walking past her house. However, I pulled the trigger on the gun by accident. I did not intend to shoot between Somchai's legs, but I did,” Bunteurm stated.
Somchai was also taken to a hospital and was reported to be conscious but his penis was so badly injured that the paramedics feared that his penis could no longer function.
“I don't mind if his penis stops working because he is kind to me. The doctors said that it was shot off and won't work," said the wife of Somchai.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Prapas Wi-Prajong, the Deputy Police Commissioner of Mueang Chumphon Police Station, Bunteurm was being held in custody and being questioned on suspicion of attempting to kill another person with a firearm, possessing firearms without permission, and carrying a gun in public without permission.
