- Osman Moalem, 25, has been sentenced to 27 months in jail for attempting to kidnap a 19-year-old student outside Liverpool Lime Street station on 28 October 2024.
- Moalem approached the student, said something unintelligible, and then tried to drag her away, Liverpool Crown Court heard on Friday.
- An elderly couple intervened and threatened to call the police, but Moalem continued his attempt, the court was told.
- British Transport Police officers were alerted by station security and arrested Moalem minutes after the incident.
