Per The Guardian, United boss Erik ten Hag is a huge admirer of Onana's talent.
He believes the 21-year-old can play a key role for the club starting from this season.
However, Everton are not said to be under financial pressure to sell the midfielder.
The Toffees want at least 50 million for Onana's signature, or they will keep him for one more season.
