Manchester United attacker Anthony Elanga has admitted frustration being benched by Sweden during international week.
Elanga again started from the bench for last night's Nations League draw with Slovenia.
"You are always disappointed when you are not allowed to start on the pitch, but it is not something you can control yourself," he said.
"It is up to the leaders of the team to choose who from the team is the best and who they think is the best.
"For me, it's about performing when I'm on the field, and I did what I could in those 20 minutes."
When Elanga entered the pitch after 70 minutes, there was great cheering from the Swedish fans.
"It wasn't something I thought much about, but I really appreciate it. I really thank the fans, and it's great to be cheered on," he added.
