Sir Jim Ratcliffe's purchase of 25 per cent of Manchester United is expected to be confirmed next week.

He will appoint personnel to oversee the footballing operations in an attempt to revive the sleeping giant.
United were a target for the Qatari royal family, but that interest appears to have cooled.
The Glazer family did not accept any offer for a full sale, with Ratcliffe's 25 percent stake purchase the only deal on track for completion.
