Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has blocked Tom Heaton from leaving.
The veteran goalkeeper has fielded interest from Championship clubs and Premier League new-boys Luton Town.
But Ten Hag is refusing to green light Heaton's departure due to doubts over whether David de Gea will sign a new contract.
De Gea becomes a free agent at the end of Friday.
Heaton, 37, has just completed his second season back with United after coming through the club's youth system as a junior player.
