Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag said he was concerned Christian Eriksen would not play this season.
The Danish international has been absent since suffering an ankle injury against Reading in late January after a poor tackle from Andy Carroll.
However, he has now returned to team training and will be in the squad as they take on Everton on Saturday.
"It was not for nothing I was so angry about that tackle," said Ten Hag to reporters.
"It was a really bad tackle and a bad injury. I thought we lost him for the whole season.
"He is ahead of schedule and we are very happy with that."
