Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has thanked fans for following them to Brentford tonight.

With an 8pm kickoff, it means United fans are unlikely to get home until Sunday morning.

"I feel very sorry for them," Ten Hag said. "I don't think it is right.

"We are grateful that they are there. We know they will come with a lot, it will be sold out in the area of Manchester United.

"So we have to give them the win. We have to give them the right performance for them and I feel sorry for them that it is difficult to travel back to Manchester."

Ten Hag also said of the Bees: "It's a very strong team,

"They have very good performances, they are very hard to beat.

"When you don't give 100 per cent you don't win there, so from the first moment on we have to put everything in this game to get the win."
