Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says early substitutions for Antony and Lisandro Martinez were always planned against FC Sheriff.
Ten Hag wanted to keep the pair fresh for the Sunday meeting with West Ham.
He explained: "Yeah, more or less, when we are up [was the idea]. Then it was planned. Martinez he is on two bookings, so he was out if he got booked for a third time, for next game.
"I don't have a problem with that [trademark spin by Antony on the ball] as long as it's functional. So, also from him, I demand more.
"More runs behind, more often in the box, more followings in, and more tempo dribbles especially. And more playing in the pocket. So we demand more dominance in this game and, now and then, there is a trick like this, it's nice, as long as it's functional, as he's not losing the ball, as he's attracting players, then it's okay. But if it's a trick, because of a trick then I will correct him."
