Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reiterated the need for discipline off the pitch.

The Dutchman was speaking about star forward Marcus Rashford getting into more hot water over his conduct.

Rashford was out at a Belfast nightclub until late on Thursday night / early on Friday morning, before he was due to turn up to training on Friday.

So he has taken responsibility and for the rest it's an internal matter," said Ten Hag to reporters.

Case closed."

Asked if Rashford was showing a lack of respect to his coach through such behavior, Ten Hag added: It's nothing to do with that but let's focus on the game, let's move on.

The statement is clear and we have to focus on winning football games."

Asked again about discipline, Ten Hag finished: In football, you need discipline - that is on the pitch but also off the pitch.

There is a line between, when every player, every professional knows this, what is required. We have to focus on winning football games, that's what matters and every top professional knows what is required."
