Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag admits they're finishing has held them back this season.
Ten Hag insists they'd be in a better position if they were more clinical in front of goal.
He said today: "We are going in the right direction with some way to go. I see positives and negatives, which Christian [Eriksen] is referring to.
"We are not consistently at the level we can be in possession. Pressing, we are quite good, we have the most ball regains in the Premier League. There you see our organisation. But we don't take the benefit in the attacking transitional moments; we should be because we have the ability in the team.
"This has to progress and games will be easier."
On hosting Manchester City on Sunday, Ten Hag also said: "This is a hard team to beat; they find a way to win. We are going in the right direction. It is a match that is so huge because it is Manchester, internal, but all eyes will on this game worldwide."
