Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag will welcome a shake-up of the football department by new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Ratcliffe is expected to have his 25 per cent share purchase confirmed by the board on Thursday.
And the INEOS boss is expected to be handed control of the football department, which will be welcomed by Ten Hag.
The Daily Mail says the Dutchman has been frustrated with a lack of clarity over targets and budgets, limited data and the need to overpay for new additions.
Meanwhile, INEOS insist Ten Hag will be supported, with the club's poor start to the season being blamed on a long injury list.
