Per The Mail, Ten Hag does not want to lose Forson, who came off the bench against Newport County in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Forson changed agents around Christmas time and is undecided about his future.
He does have an offer from United, but he is concerned about a lack of first team game time.
The attacker made his senior debut against Wigan earlier this month, but wants to play more often.
