Manchester United are edging closer to the end of the Mason Greenwood investigation.
The young forward has been banished from the first team since he was arrested on suspicion of rape and controlling and coercive behavior.
While Greenwood was ultimately not charged by the Crown Prosecution Service, United have been investigating the matter themselves in recent months.
Per the Manchester Evening News, that process is nearing its conclusion as well.
The club have not made a final decision about whether to release, sell, or reintegrate Greenwood into the first team.
The decision will be made by the Glazer family who own the club, chief executive Richard Arnold, and other board members.
