Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is delighted with his move to Olympique Marseille.
Bailly has joined OM on-loan for the season with the option to buy.
He said today: “For me it is a great satisfaction to be in a historic club, a big club. That makes me very happy. I think that in the past we had legends who passed, when I speak of legends, I speak of home, there was Didier Drogba, Abdoulaye Meïté, Baky Koné, players who represented us with dignity and for me it is very important to succeed in this challenge.
"I know the requirements of this club and for me this pressure, I take it in the positive sense, because for me taking up the challenge will be the first thing to do. It's nice, it's a dream come true.
“Given the project with the team and the players who are arriving, I think that OM deserve to win trophies, we deserve to win trophies and for me this challenge is to come and bring the little experience that I have and to see if there is the possibility of winning trophies with OM. OM today have very important ambitions with the Champions League, maybe the championship too and then there is also the Coupe de France.
“For Igor Tudor, the first satisfaction is to see him here, he called me, we spoke a lot with the president and for me it is very important to see how important the coach gives you. And this already motivated me a lot to be at Olympique de Marseille.
"On the knowledge of certain players in the locker room? Yes, it makes integration easier, especially Pau Lopez, whom I worked with for several years at Espanyol, I was in the academy with him, he called me often, asked me when I was going to arrive and here I also received Bakambu who came to Villarreal in 2015 and Alexis Sanchez not long ago to Manchester United. So yeah, I think I'm going to get a warm welcome here in the locker room, hopefully."
