Manchester United stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire are the two most abused players on Twitter.
An analysis by Ofcom reveals that Maguire and Ronaldo are at the top of the list for the most abused footballers on the social media platform.
The organisation analysed more than two million tweets from the first half of the 2021-2022 season.
Among the top twelve players to receive abusive or hateful tweets during that time period, eight belonged to United.
The Red Devils did endure a miserable season, eventually finishing sixth in the Premier League, after coming second the season before.
Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Tottenham star Harry Kane, Fred, Jesse Lingard, Manchester City forward Jack Grealish, Paul Pogba, and David de Gea made up the rest of the list.
