Manchester United have been rejected by RB Leipzig striker Brian Brobbey.
The Holland international is wanted by former club Ajax, which have made an offer.
BILD says United have also tabled a bid, but Brobbey has rejected a move to Old Trafford. United officials have since accepted defeat and moved on.
RBL want €15m to sell and Ajax must make an improved offer after their opening proposal was turned down by the Germans.
Brobbey's priority is to return to Ajax this summer.
