Manchester United fullback Alvaro Fernandez is set to join Preston North End.
United have struck a deal that will see Fernandez head out to Preston on a season-long loan.
The Red Devils have high hopes for the 19-year-old left-back, who was expected to be involved with the first team squad this coming season.
However, the arrival of Tyrell Malacia has increased competition in defence, and United now believe that Fernandez's development will be best served by a year in the Championship.
