Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag believes that Antony will provide much-needed competition in the forward positions.
The exciting Brazilian winger is close to officially sealing his transfer from Ajax.
United are still working out the details regarding his work permit, which should be approved in the next 24 hours.
"It's good in the first place that there is competition," ten Hag told reporters during a pre-match press conference.
Regarding Antony's best position of right wing, he added: "If it happens, yes."
"That is, I think, very natural. In a top club, this situation has to be there to push players to the highest levels.
He added: "I'm sure they're happy with that [competition] as well.
"We have the opportunity to choose and I'm lucky that we have that situation, that we created that situation, so well done, I would say."
