Manchester United are readying a bid for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
The Sun says United are prepared to go to 80m for the youngster.
Key to the deal could be incoming sporting director Jason Wilcox. Wilcox is close to Branthwaite's agent, David Reeves.
United are in talks with Southampton over compensation for Wilcox.
Branthwaite has shone for Everton this season and earned a first England call-up last month.
