Manchester United have denied they have terminated Cristiano Ronaldo's contract.
The Portuguese superstar started in Saturday's dismal 4-0 loss to Brentford.
Reports had claimed the 37-year-old was negotiating the termination of his contract as he seeks to play Champions League football this season.
However, a spokesperson for the club said: "There is no change in the club's position".
