Onana is being tapped to replace veteran star David De Gea, who has left on the expiry of his contract.
Per The Mail, United will eventually agree a fee in the region of 43 million with Inter.
The Italian giants were not eager to sell Onana, but the player wants to leave, and they do have financial issues.
