Manchester United are not triggering Raphael Varane's 12 month option.

The decision leaves Varane free to speak with foreign teams about an end of season Bosman transfer, says the Daily Mail.

Varane is on 350,000-a-week at United and they wish to renegotiate terms at a reduced rate.

The France defender is wanted at United, but must accept a pay-cut to extend his stay.

Varane is said to be keen on continuing with United next season.
