Manchester United are said to be planning a January swoop for a highly-rated defender.
The Red Devils are plotting a raid on Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon for central defender Goncalo Inacio.
Per The Sun, United have already been sending scouts to Lisbon to watch the player.
They will run a final check on him over the coming months before deciding whether to bid in January.
The 22-year-old has a 60 million (52 million) release clause that any club can match to secure his signature.
United are set to miss center back Lisandro Martinez for at least three months after he had surgery on his ankle yet again.
