Manchester United have upped their offer for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez.
United are battling Arsenal to sign the Argentina international.
Both clubs have made bids for Martinez over the past week.
The Daily Mail says the latest proposal is from United worth €50m.
Last week, Ajax directors Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Gerry Hamstra were in London to discuss the original deal with United - who matched Arsenal's €45m bid but offered a structure that guaranteed them more cash.
However, they have now upped their offer with a deal now close to being agreed.
