Manchester United have launched a bid for Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand.
The Sun says United are making a cash-plus-player offer for the Dane.
United are willing to include Facundo Pellistri in their proposal for Hjulmand, 24. However, Sporting have rejected the offer.
Sporting are insisting Hjulmand won't leave for less than his 60m buyout clause.
United scouts have seen him play in both the Primeira Liga and Europa League six times this season.
