After weeks of negotiations, United are prepared to up their offer to close an agreement for the Cameroonian.
United have had offers of 35m and 40m rejected by the Nerazzurri, but are now upping it to 50m.
And La Gazzetta dello Sport says Inter are prepared to accept, after dropping their original 60m valuation.
Onana, meanwhile, has settled on personal terms with United for some weeks at around 110,000-a-week.
