Manchester United are hot on the heels of Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino.
The soon to be 28 year old has been enjoying an outstanding season with La Real.
Given he is out of contract in the summer of 2025, he may be available on a cut price deal this summer.
Per COPE in Spain, United have put Merino on their list and have been scouting him this season.
The ex-Newcastle midfielder is said to have a 60 million release clause in his contract.
Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City are the other teams chasing his signature.
