Woman allegedly targeted in upskirting incident at a Shah Alam shop, prompting warnings for women in Alam Budiman to remain vigilant and report the case
A MAN has warned women in Alam Budiman in Shah Alam to remain vigilant after claiming his sister was targeted in an alleged upskirting incident at a shop.
The man shared a video on Threads showing his sister walking inside the premises and claimed that a man had attempted to place a camera underneath her dress.
He wrote: “Be careful, all women in Alam Budiman. My sister had someone place a camera under her dress. Thankfully, she was wearing long pants underneath. Could not catch the culprit, but managed to smack him on the head a little.”
The post drew concern from netizens, with some urging the woman to take further action and report the alleged incident to the authorities.
One commenter said: “Despite the fact that the woman was completely covered, there are still men who have lustful intentions.”
Another suggested lodging a police report and obtaining CCTV footage from nearby shops to help identify the suspect.
The commenter also suggested tracing the vehicle allegedly used by the suspect and checking other premises he may have visited.
