
Kota Kinabalu: A 40-year-old man was fined RM10,000 in default 12 months in prison for overstaying in the State for five years.
Anas Sudirman pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Hurman Hussain on Wednesday.
He was arrested in Sook, Keningau on June 24 this year, and his temporary work pass was found to have expired on June 4, 2020.

In mitigation, Anas requested a lenient sentence and to be deported as soon as possible.
