Friends and family of Olympique Marseille midfielder Matteo Guendouzi were angry with Tottenham fans this week.
Given his Arsenal background, Guendouzi was barracked by the home support as Spurs defeated OM in their opening Champions League group game.
Guendouzi also runs a gauntlet at away stadiums in France thanks to his histronics.
However, the midfielder's management team believe much of the blame is with the media and the way he has been portrayed since his return to France last season, says L'Equipe.
And they were left upset in London as Spurs fans continued the whistles this week.
