- The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faced three counts of attempted murder and two counts of possessing a bladed article on school premises during her appearance via videolink at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
- The alleged incident, which occurred on Tuesday morning at a school in north Manchester, is currently under investigation by Counter Terrorism Police, though it has not yet been formally declared a terrorist incident.
- District Judge Briony Clarke has sent the case to the Crown Court due to the seriousness of the charges, with the girl scheduled to appear next at the Old Bailey on 19 June.
- Two 14-year-old pupils and a 27-year-old male staff member sustained injuries in the attack but have since been released from hospital, having suffered no serious harm.
